handmade ceramics

how it started

  • I experimented with manual modelling and then turned to the wheel. I started with small pieces and then made larger ones, vases, bowls and flower holders. I tried and found the materials and modelling and glazing techniques that best fit my way of working and understanding everyday objects.

  • The first collections are inspired the warm colors of the earth, by the full, heavy shapes and rounded lines. They include objects that I'd like people to use everyday, appreciating the user experience behind each piece.

  • The project included several shooting sessions to photograph the ceramics and convey my idea of cozy, comfortable and at the same time elegant products. Even the design of the first set involved days of research and attention to particulars, so that the pieces were visible in every little detail.

  • I designed my website, corporate image and social pages from scratch, handling the brand identity and my vision of care and attention for handmade ceramics. My experience in UX/UI Design allowed me to create a clear and user-friendly website with its online shop.

  • The production of small series of ceramics allows me to customise the pieces and guarantee their sales, which I manage personally at all levels. I always try to optimise the user experience behind order preparation, sales management and product delivery and shipping.

  • For me, creating something handmade is always a powerful and evocative act. Being a ceramist is a fun and rewarding activity since I can realise everything I have in mind, design an experience from beginning to end and receive gratification when I see my ceramics actually being used, every day.
